张扬,中国科学技术大学教授,瑞士自然科学基金会Ambizione Fellow获得者。张扬教授于美国康奈尔大学获得博士学位,曾先后在丹麦玻尔研究所、瑞士ETH-Zurich、德国马克思•普朗克研究所从事研究工作,致力于量子场论中高圈振幅计算。

Computational algebraic geometry method is a modern tool to deal with polynomial related problems, which nowadays has a broad application in various fields of physics. Here I introduce two applications: (1) using algebraic geometry for reducing complicated Feynman integrals for the collider physics. Certain Feynman integrals needed for the precision physics experiments, cannot be reduced via the traditional method, but can be reduced via tools like syzygy and lift in algebraic geometry. (2) computing analytic quantities in integrable spin chain with algebraic geometry. With the companion matrix, any quantity symmetric in Bethe roots can be obtained directly from the BAE without solving it.
